NATIONAL LAW WEEK - 2018 / Press Statement


MEDIA RELEASE The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has decided to provide assistance on areas related to legal matters, to those who have been affected by the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the country. These services will be provided in consultation with the Local Government Authorities and the Sri Lanka Police. Accordingly those who have lost their legal documents, face losses and other problems arising from environmental issues may contact the Bar Association of Sri Lanka on the following telephone lines - 0113133864/3133872 Further, in consideration of the weather conditions we have also decided to postpone the Free Legal Clinics that were scheduled to be conducted under the National Law Week 2018, during 26th and 27th May 2018, across the island. The new dates will be notified later.

NATIONAL LAW WEEK - 2018


MEDIA RELEASE The Bar Association of Sri Lanka will be organizing the National Law Week 2018 which is scheduled to be held between the period of 21st May 2018 to 27th May 2018 in corroboration with the Ministry of Justice and Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka. The National Law Week will be held under the theme “ Legal Fraternity towards a Law abiding Society”, the need of the hour in our society.
